the art & business of wedding photography {minneapolis}

Recently I had the most amazing experience attending a two-day photography workshop held at the Minneapolis Photo Center. The workshop was led by the fabulously talented, Emily Steffen.  Emily has been such an inspiration to me - not only is she an award-winning wedding photographer, she is truly an incredible person.  I am so grateful that she gave us the opportunity to learn from her!  A special thank you to Emily for sharing her time and knowledge and amazing talents with us!  I left this workshop so encouraged and excited to grow as a photographer and I could not be any more excited for all of my upcoming weddings in 2013!  Thank you, Emily! :) 

The workshop also included a styled photo shoot, which was so gorgeous and an absolute dream to photograph!  The incredible talent of all the vendors that helped with this are listed below.  A huge THANK YOU to ALL of you!  It was such a pleasure to meet you and work with you, and to witness your amazing talents!!!

J+J Photography Workshop

I recently had the opportunity to learn from two amazing professional photographers - Jodee Whittenberger of Life & Style Photography and Jared Anderson of Jared Lee Photography.  I attended a photography workshop presented by both Jodee and Jared at the beautiful Florian Gardens in Eau Claire entitled "Love Your Camera, Learn How To Use It."  They covered everything from camera settings and equipment to posing and working with your subject, to finding the light and how to use it.  It was such an incredible, hands-on learning experience. 

Jodee & Jared - Thank you both so much for sharing your knowledge, expertise, and shooting techniques!  I truly appreciated the opportunity to learn from two professionals and it was such a pleasure to meet and learn from you both - THANK YOU!
